HubSpot is one of the premiere names in inbound marketing today — for good reason. Their marketing strategy empowers customers and helps businesses focus their efforts on attracting the right people in a non-interruptive way.
HubSpot is also one of the most generous companies out there, giving away vast amounts of their knowledge via blog posts and free downloads.
So when I had the opportunity to get a HubSpot Inbound Certification, I jumped at it.
I admit I’m an education junkie. I especially love learning about copywriting, content marketing, business development and technology. I’m no stranger to studying challenging material (or writing about it, for that matter) — but this is one of the most challenging training and certifications programs I’ve gone through. I was actually really surprised by how challenging it was, given my years of experience with content marketing.
The training covered:
- Inbound strategy
- Optimizing your website
- Fundamentals of blogging
- Using social media to amplify content
- Creating purposeful and remarkable content
- Anatomy of a winning landing page
- The conversion process
- Email marketing
- Sales and marketing alignment
I’ve been a copywriter since 2000 and heavily focused on content marketing for the last several years, but I still learned a lot from these comprehensive courses. This is a perfect example of why I am so focused on always improving my knowledge and continuing my education — there are always new things to learn! I’m a firm believer that if you are a business owner, one of your responsibilities is to continuously develop your skills.
The certification test I had to pass at the end was no laughing matter. I’m honestly thrilled to have passed it the first time through!
Without further ado, I’m proud to announce that I am now HubSpot Inbound Certified.
