1. Deep discovery
A 60-90 minute call where we get to know your business, your goals and your customers. This is usually followed by additional questions that come up while we process the insights. (We will send any additional questions over email out of respect for your busy schedule.)
2. Data analysis
Our data analyst will run reports from your Google Analytics account to get a baseline of your current website performance. The resulting Quick Start Metrics Tracking Report will be your starting point for ongoing website performance tracking, so you can see exactly how your new copy performs.
3. Voice-of-the-customer research
Depending on your requirements and available resources, we will conduct at least one of the following voice-of-the-customer activities:
– 1:1 customer interviews
– Customer surveys
– Customer/competitor review message mining
4. Written report on findings
You will get a detailed report of everything we discover in the first three parts of this process, complete with insights and go-forward copy recommendations. If we see growth opportunities for your company beyond copywriting (such as with page design or sales flow), we will include our recommendations around these elements as well. A 1-hour review call is included in the scope so we can go over this report together — but it is not required.
5. Copywriting and light wireframing
Taking everything we learned about your business, your goals and your customers, we write copy for your 5 most critical pages — copy focused on connecting deeply with your target audience, and leading them down the path to a sale. We will also wireframe your core landing page (typically your homepage) to give your designer guidance around message hierarchy and emphasis.
6. Review and revision
One round of revision is included in the scope of work to address any incorrect information or language concerns. Once you have completed your review and gathered all feedback from your team into one document, we will work through any changes requested.
